YO GEORGIANS! :)

I need an answer as quick as possible. My friend French Black Copper Maran hen first laying season just got attack by a neighbors loose dog. She needs to report it to the deputy with a price for the hen. How much would one sale for?

No less than 40 for the bird plus chicks cost 8 dollars and then the loss of egg income, I'd say at least 150 to 200, can we fit in here sentimental value and mental anguish

she had to house and feed the bird so that needs to be figured in what she had invested in the bird, plus hatching eggs sells
Thank you! She is calling the deputy now. She just spoke to the owner and they said well the dog dug out from under their fence. Too bad. They were warned. She lost a pure white silkie to one of the dogs a few weeks ago. They are crossing a state highway to get to her chickens that are located about a 1/4 mile up her drive and behind their house. The woman didn't even apologize just made excuses.

yeah I'd hit them for at LEAST $200, I am pretty sure a small claims court will allow loss of future income.

yesterday my neighbors (across the road) two older dogs found my chicken coop. They can't get in, but they were pacing the run barking and had the chickens all tore up. Most of them just went in the coop. I went out and ran the dogs off. They haven't been back, but it's just a matter of time. They can't get to the chickens, but they'll sure upset em. I guess it's time to go talk to the neighbor.......
