No way! I felt bad, I thought I'd be able to fill your correct order.. And hubby and I both were tossing chicks into the box lol. So you apparently ended up with an extra brahma (which I meant to do), and an olive cockerel (which you didn't request. THAT one I'm blaming on hubby who doesn't yet fully grasp feather sexing )..

But anyway I hope you will love them.

Started staining the base frame for the coop tonight. I think I hate it. :/

And, I'm pretty sure when I stir it up, there's not supposed to be a big thick blob of muck in the bottom of the can. I've done so much painting over the years, I don't recall that ever occurring before. We'll see what happens, I guess.

Yeah, sounds like maybe if froze at some point(s) maybe?

Could be. I bought it Thursday night, it was a premixed stain. I could hardly stir it up properly because of the muck.

I am sorry that I was unable to attend the BIG EVENT. On a better note, we were able to get the DW's car to finally shift gears again. woopie, I guess? I hope all of you who were expecting goodies from me were happy with the new acquisitions. Let me know how you guys do with the hatching eggs. I'm getting large numbers of NNs from my mixed eggs and a couple of blue chicks so far. I've also had 90% hatch rate from the CCLs. Good luck, and thanks guys.

don't know where you bought it, but did they offer to shake it up? I'd sure be taking it back and telling them what happened. It could just be old.....

this is why I prefer to paint instead of stain something, a WHOLE lot easier to cover up if it doesn't turn out as hoped/expected!
