How are roosters when they start crowing?
I think you were asking how old roosters are when they start crowing. Well, it depends on the bird. I had a BCM who didn't start crowing until he was about 5 months old and then I had a 12 DAY old chick who was crowing away! Most will start around 7-8 weeks old.

The medicated feed is debatable. I have Indian Runner Ducks and they have had no problem on medicated feed. However, If you were just going out to buy some more, go ahead and get the non-medicated kind. One of the important things ducks need is Niacin. I get the liquid Kickin Chikin and squirt some on top of their food and mix it with a little water. It also adds vitamins, etc. All my babies get this!

My ducks think they are chickens! They do fine together!

hmmm, mine are 12 weeks and haven't started yet, the blue ameraucanas. The black austrolorp is 9 weeks old and not crowing yet. Maybe I'm wrong and these aren't roosters, LOL

Any of you plant savvy folks out there know what this is? I've never had poison ivy before or any other (oak or sumac). I've also never seen any of those in person. Only in photos. I know the saying "leaves of three let it be", but I also know it can have up to 7 leaflets. This looks suspect to me. It is growing through the fence in very close proximity to the coop and where I'm working. I've never seen this before.

the leaves are kind of slender to be poison oak or ivy. Not sure what it is, can you see the base of it? any fuzzy looking vines? It really don't look like it to me
