Our family members, oh yeah and my son ;-). 4 baby chocolates and 2 slightly older Fawn and white ones- both from outstanding members of your community here in GA. Mine are doing well and love a daily visit to the manure pile to gulp all the earthworms they can grab. They're adjusting well to us and us to them.

Katiedarling you sick?

So I went ahead and assisted a little more on the straggler since I never advanced my pip but was peeping a lot. Here's what I first saw when I started.. I don't know if it's just stuck, or what? Anyway no cross beak or anything..

400

Different angle.. Maybe a little blood to absorb yet
400

The end product:
400

It appears quite content at this point, normal movements and sounds. I read on the assiste hatch thread about using (non-pain relief) ointment on the membrane to keep from having to wet it all the time, which is always my biggest anxiety. So here's hoping it'll stay damp!! We're going out for a while so we shall see what happens. :)

Katie's not sick, she's frustrated with coop building. It's tough to be OCD..........LOL

Thank you and yes, they're getting so big. The ones I got from you are literally growing by the second and the chocolate ones are just trying to keep up ;-). I'm desperately trying to decide on a a coop I like and then to get it built before these guys outgrow their current quarters.
