Okay so we just got home and I KNEW the egg would be pipped but it's not. The baby is chirping and here's LOTS of movement but no tapping whatsoever. The air cell is very, very steep and now I'm wondering if it's possible baby can't get into position to pip?

Just seems really strange it's not tapping.

Carcar, I am in the same boat as you were. Hatch isn't due until Monday but already have one out and 4 pipping, but I am on pins and needles over the rest, telling them to hurry and pip knowing they have a while to go! hahaha!

the wife and I spent this beautiful day working around the yard. Every time the chickens would hear the back door close, they'd come watch to see if we were coming their way......This was hilarious. To think they used to run AWAY when they saw me, now they come looking for me......



10 of the 14 right there. I think the other 4 may have finally dug that hole to visit their chinese cousins, in spite of me putting them a dirt bath in there.........

inside's painted, roosts are built & painted. They'll be installed tomorrow after I slap some linoleum on the floor. Doors are cut & need to go on. I am waiting(still) for the DH to get the roof done., he keeps booking EJs & delaying me on that. I will probably paint the outside tomorrow while I'm waiting for him to wake up. I'm getting irritated. I absolutely cannot stand "hurry up and wait". We are SUPPOSED to be recycling the metal from the pool house roof. Part of it's leaking so he wants to replace it. I was going to salvage the good stuff for the coop. SO, in order to roof it, he has to remove it first. I told him there's no time to get new metal for it, just rip it off & give me the dang stuff and he can throw a tarp over the pool house cuz I'm over it. And it HAS to be done tomorrow because I'm picking up the new chicks Tuesday. I want these ones out by monday night.
