YO GEORGIANS! :)

One more thing.. My first Legbar out is dry and appears to be a boy.

I've not hatched these before but he definitely doesn't appear to have chipmunk stripes.

Yep, the boys will be kind of grayish with yellow on their heads.

Oh, and if you guys got some mixed eggs from Rocky, be ready for lots of frizzles and NNs! I am loving my frizzled NNs from him. Some from Dark chocolate eggs, some from OE and EE! Lots of fun egg colors in my future!

This is cool.. The first eggs I hatched from my blue layers, were crossed with the BLRW roo. So I sold them as EE instead of olives, since I wasn't sure what shade egg they would lay.

A coworker has some of those girls and got her first eggs this week. LOOK how beautiful! Makes me feel good 1) that my other customers will get pretty green eggs too, and 2) that my current chicks are liable to lay even darker green since the Marans is with them. :)

Gorgeous!!! Can you post a pic of your BLRW?

Can diatomaceous earth be used in an entire backyard as a fly killer?

My girls have the ants and crawling insects under control., but flies and mosquitos are an issue, regardless of how clean I keep the coop.

I'm not opposed to using an insecticide, but what precautions would need to be taken to protect the girls and does anyone have suggestions for effective and safe insecticides?
