Right down the road from me if anyone wants them. I'd be happy to pick them up.
I actually passed up some birds!!!! CA is working (chickens anonymous), how do the meal worms come? and how much

Yeah no kidding. I wish they weren't so dang loud.

They are little so I have not really heard how loud the noise is, but when they do get started they are funny you certainly do know something is going on
wish my truck was finished

Anyone want to help me find this pup a home? She is from a litter of eight that I rescued off of the side of a road at three weeks old. She is 7 months now, and I can't seem to find this last pup a home, and I honestly don't know why! She is perfectly potty trained, and will pretty much do any command if you have a treat, gets along great with kids and most dogs. Doesn't really like big men because one mistreated her once. Landlord said she has to go because his son's dog attacked her, and she "showed aggression" by defending herself, while in leash...

Anybody doing live mealworms?  I'm thinking of farming them to feed at the farm.

They are very low maintenance. I have a bunch in a shoebox sized plastic tub with holes on top. I remember to feed them every few months and they are still alive. There are some really cool setups with mealworm farming. We just aren't that dedicated. We got the live ones from pet smart.

Duuuude!!!! I am SOOOO mad right now. Just took a shovel to the "big kid" brooder to replace some shavings.. There's more dang FOOD in there than droppings. What on EARTH do y'all do to keep the juvies from wasting so much!? Just looked at the bag of starter/grower I bought last TUESDAY and it's all but gone. Maybe two scoops left.

I feed mine 2 times a day, after their feeding frenzy is over, I take up the food. When I clean shavings, it's mostly shavings

I am bad! I take the shavings (and the tons of food) and throw them into the big girls run. The tiny poops aren't bad enough to worry about in such a big yard. The big guys enjoy all the extra feed. And, it helps keep the run a little less mucky with the shavings in there. And, the ducks enjoy the worms that also come for the food when the rain finally breaks the shavings and the feed down.
