YO GEORGIANS! :)

LOL no we're in Land Between the Lakes National Rec Area in Kentucky. We saw some elk too but they were too far for good pics.

I literally had to pull up to let that one go by, took the pic of it in the truck mirror

I've been to the "trace" lived not far from it very pretty
Yeah, I was pretty sad when it closes down, but now it's for sale... And I really, really want it. Lol.
It was listed as a bombinh target?!?! Bahahaha, yes, because dawsonville is such a hub of political power.

I'm sure no reasonable offer will be refused and they might even through in some underground shelters.

@katsdar please post lots of pics of your LO, I have given this much thought and decided not to get them. Sorry, @carcar80 . I worry that they will be too large for my little chicken tractor and some of the turns getting in and out of the upstairs or by the feeders in the lower part. I will be living vicariously through your pictures, it is one of the breeds and color I really wanted.

Plan right now is to pick up Blue Ameuracana chicks next week. I am so excited, my first time raising chicks. DH is going along, though not super happy with the idea. My dear friend and MIL will be here to help me, she loves critters and is so happy she gets to raise them with me. Life is good :)
More for me!!!!!

my intruder is back and this time it didn't get a free chicken dinner, but little fox is going down, it sure tried to get my babies, how do I know it was a fox you ask, well it left me some poop, it should have taken it with it and I would have thought opossum.

Yeah something was snooping around one of my small coops last night too. I don't THINK it got anything, but it would help if I knew how many babies were in there to begin with!

I do a head count 2 times one when I let them out and then when they go to bed, and during the day I look for my key birds, mainly my silkies and the bird I call stitch (she got stitches 12 of them she was the girl I took to the vet last month) I figure those will be the first to go.
on another brighter note My guinea's are getting bigger and I can not tell the sex by the sounds, they say females will say something that sounds like words can't think what words, but I don't hear anything resembling words,it sounds like one of those metal washboards. I have the traditional birds the greys (4) and a white and a Lavender ( dark blue is showing up on it's neck) I will have to get pics very pretty birds and fun to watch, two were sparing today, getting the pecking order straight and then the one tried to hide under one of it's chicken friends. Their waddles are starting to grow, cup like, another strange characteristic. anyway I'm sure glad I got these birds. Oh and another 2 ant hills gone!!

Can't wait to see pics of the guineas! I bet that lavender is a stunner!

@katsdar are those Guineas eating up fire ant hills? We have dozens of them all over our property, mostly close to the house and workshop as well as in the pool yard. I hate them and cannot get rid of them. I may have to consider some. I enjoy watching the ones that run around the neighborhood. I don't know where they belong.

And this girl apparently knows how incredibly patient I'm being, waiting for her and her sisters to start laying. Take your time, girls!!

My AM roo has started dancing for the girls and is fire-engine red in the face. These girls are showing me NOTHING!!

Your AMs are black? Man if I can hatch out a splash rooster....

My roosters have been crowing and dancing but all the girls are doing is running....

Maybe that will have changed somewhat by the time we get home sunday, but I'm not getting my hopes up
