YO GEORGIANS! :)

yeah me too, Some of the things I've seen in there just THIS year. The typical 'buying chicks during chick days so the kids can play with them'...........grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

"oh we bought some last year when they first got them, I let the kids take them out to play in the yard, and the next morning they were all dead, but TSC wouldn't give me my money back"

just makes you shake your head sometimes huh......

Next time I'm heading that way, I'm gonna let you know, we can rendezvous at the oyster shell, chick grit meal worm aisle.........:gig

I'll bring the mannapro coupons! Lol, I've talked quite a few people out of buying chicks at TSC,I've had a lot of bad experiences with their chicks and the staff when it comes to the chicks. I let people know that buying a few chicks doesn't mean just putting them in a cardboard box and feeding them bread.

The two times I've bought chicks there, the only issue I had, small one, is one of my australorp 'pullets' isn't, he takes offense at me saying 'come here girl'

That store actually has one lady who is very knowledgeable, I've enjoyed talking with her at different times.Neither of the places here in Cedartown sell flock raiser or all flock feed, they only have scratch or layer pellets, so I go up there and get the all flock. I need to check my coupons and see if I have one for that, hmmmm, thanks for the reminder.

If anyone is interested, instead of painting the inside of my coop I ordered " Lumber Seal " Non toxic, VOC free sealer that can be used in chicken coops with no effects to chickens. It seals the wood, prevents the wood from warping and makes easy cleaning. Found it to be better then paint and dries, ready to use in 24 hours. Ordered from Home Depot.

Putting together a water nipple system for my chickens, Got the bucket from Wal-Mart. AM using 3/4 " tees slip x thread for the nipples then drilled out the male plugs, installed the nipples then screwed them into the tee's. Put a male adapter on the end of the line so that if needed can flush the line, as well as unscrew the nipples from tees. The nipples will come apart for cleaning as well if needed. So on the run makes easy disassembly if needed, easy to replace nipples if needed. Then will connect to a 3/4 PVC line to the bucket, with a compression fitting so that can adjust height if needed ( placed in vertical line) and some 90's female and male adapter and valve will be able to connect to bucket utilizing a 3/4 " threaded bulkhead fitting So I think I have it covered, but being new at this like any comment or feedback from those that have water nipples installed.

looks like you have it pretty well covered to me! let me know if this leaks, because I hooked up to a 30 gallon food grade barrel and I think the extra pressure of the water behind it causes them to leak

Something I have noticed.. quite a few people I have met here that have chickens also have ducks. Is there a reason that I have yet to see or just purely coincidental?

jury duty. Seriously, I'm that nerd who really really wants to do it. However, this week is the worst week possible. I got dismissed from a case on Monday thinking that would be it. I was bummed. But now, I showed up Tuesday for a second round of picks. Didn't get called this time, they sent us home and said call back after 5 on Wednesday. I assumed it would be the end. Nope. Report back tomorrow at 8:30. I'm willing to bet money no criminal defense attorney would want a cop's wife on his jury. Even though I do not hold a biased a opinion, it's only natural for the general public to just assume it. Which I totally get. *end whining*

On another note:
@katsdar they loved the apricots. I just chopped up some mango, pears, and spinach to bring them. Not a great combo for a human but I'm pretty sure they're not gonna care! LOL
