Ok.... It's that time of year. I SHOULD get my gator hunting permit this year. Which of you south Georgia folks have big gators around your house?

I'm in north ga but theres an 8+ footer that I saw in the lake once. Lol

Where are you located Robo? We use to have at least one a year in our pond, but we haven't seen them in a few years.

I am just northwest of Atlanta. I am hoping to get a lead on a good one around some private property with no hunting pressure so I know what zone to apply for.

Both babies are still alive and kicking! The OE looks GREAT! Fluffed up nicely and her balance is already good. Curious and strong!
The orp still seems weak and her feathers are still damp and/or glued. I put a little ointment on the worst patches to soften it up and I'll see about cleaning it up later. Still no pips on the rest of the eggs.

Maybe just late bloomers. Have you water candled them?

Give the weak one a little vitamin water if you have it. Once it gets a little strength it won't hurt to wrap it in a warm/wet rag and gently scrub the glue off.. I've had to do it and have learned they tolerate it much better than you might think..

Does anyone know why a 3 mnth old pullet would blow up like a balloon? Our Egyptian fayoumis had collected air between her skin and muscle. We made incisions for 2 days in a row to let the air out. And she has had no problems now and it has been a few days. She wasn't acting funny at all while all that was happening, she was just like normal except with a balloon body.
