Finally Got a better picture of the Bramah chick mix!

I really think her patterning looks much more like the CCL than the Swedish Flower (though that could be just wishful thinking!) Here's my CCL for comparison.

Well i finally pulled the trigger and did it. We've now got 3 Bourbon Red poults in the brooder with my 4 showgirls. The wife was not pleased at all.

In other news, is this what it looks like when a hen starts 'squatting'? Forgive the photo quality, I had to catch it quick.

This is Batman, the d'uccle hatchery mix/Bantam EE hatchery mix She went still and kinda hunched down and let me pet her. Usually she runs (though not far, she loves attention!). Here's a better picture of her.

She started getting really red in the comb/cheeks about the same time as the wyandottes, where before she was a dusky pink/black.

Cool! Well, not that the wife isn't pleased, but the turkeys are neat! We don't have that kind of space here.

let me know how the BR's works for you, I had BBB and they were wonderful then the next year I had Bronze and they were a dissapointment. Didn't get any this year.
