YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hey carcar! I sold 2 more of my roosters yesterday. remember the fun we had catching just ONE? LOL the first one flew right at me, my old football catching days paid off......the second one was done the same way we caught yours, two of us outside and her hubby inside. I told her I'd been there done that

That's great!! I've been meaning to tell you.. Two of my AM pullets are visibly red from a distance now, and the other two are beginning to pink up. Woohoo!!

the people who bought them, said their AM's didn't lay until they were almost 8 months old.............there were a few other things they said that made me wonder, but that one had me scratching my head for sure. I instantly thought of yours and mine and it just made me go 'hmmmmmm'

mine are 22 weeks now, thinking yours are what 2-3 weeks older than mine? we should be getting close for sure

I hope I am posting correctly. Please forgive me if I am not:)

I have a 21 month old Buff Orpington who just laid her first soft egg ever last today. Today she is just sitting in the nesting box and gripes at me when I try to move her. I know soft, rubbery eggs can be normal. I live in the metro Atlanta area, and we have had consistent 90 degree plus weather every day. I was hoping someone could let me know if I should be worried or if there is anything proactive I need to do. These are my first chickie ladies - I have three in all, and am still trying to figure everything out! Thanks so much in advance for any help you can lend!

Well it does not seem like anyone is looking for roosters, and I need to downsize my rooster flock so soon I may have to have a new strategy or a plan B
