I don't know, it depends on how wide they're going with the median. I saw it when we lived on 278 between Rockmart and Cedartown and they widened it to 4 lanes. They took all of some places, though you're right, they probably wouldn't take all of yours, UNLESS they need a place for a retention pondI don't think the road will take any of our property since we are actually on the side road. But we're close enough that our chosen house site would be within just a few feet of the road once they widen it. And this duck ain't living mere feet from a 4 lane divided highway heavy with truck traffic. So we won't likely get any money from the state for the road so we'll just have to sit on it until the area goes commercial. And then we are going to sell it and hopefully find a bigger place. Considering how close I am to retirement, we will likely start looking east of Atlanta around Green County. Maybe. I'll actually retire before GAMjr graduates high school so we may be stuck here since we won't uproot her that close to graduation. Kids just screw up everything!![]()
