YO GEORGIANS! :)

Yesterday I got 2 eggs so both SLW are now laying. I have found that EE do not lay during winter. I am hoping some of my other breeds will lay by the end of the month, if they are breeds that lay during winter. I have BC Maran, Isbar, GLW, Speckeled Sussex, English Buff Orp, Silver Penciled Rock. Interested to see who will lay.

These are my SLW eggs. One has been laying a few weeks and has grown and the other is a starter egg.

I hatched my EE's in the middle of July. There are 3 of them with the SLW's that hatched the same day. Maybe they are just late starting?

So you haven't got any eggs from them yet? I'd agree they probably just haven't started laying yet. My EE is from spring of 2014 - so she had been laying for awhile before she stopped at the tail end of her molt in October.

No eggs from any of the EE yet. Was hoping for a starter egg for a while now but maybe they are waiting on spring? During December I thought I may get one because it was so warm, but nope.

I think they're just too young/haven't started yet. While some will start laying at less than 4 months, not all do. I had some start laying a 18 weeks one time, but this last years chicks I started over with didn't start until 22 weeks.

I haven't had an egg from any of my Ameraucanas since before thanksgiving.

My EEs are my best layers....all the time! But, I have to say, they didn't start laying until they were over 30 weeks old....I think I did have one that started laying at 28 weeks and one that surprised me and started laying about 25 weeks, but all the others were after 30 weeks. I love my EEs!

I got my first flock this year. Eight total in May. I have 3 EEs and 5 various breeds. I have been getting 6 brown/white eggs a day since October. Obviously, one EE is laying brown. I wasn't sure if they were all laying or not.
On Christmas I was surprised with TWO green eggs.
The EEs started 2-3 months after the others, but have given me two green eggs daily ever since! Comparable to white leghorn!

Oh wow.. Thanks for the info! Mine are 25 weeks today or at least the older group is. Maybe I will get some soon. My other group is about 23 weeks. Either way there is still hope. Do yours lay during winter? Nevermind. I just noticed you said ALL THE TIME, so that answers that. HA!

My Ameraucanas are on strike as well.
The first week I had them they laid, nothing since. :(

But on the good side, if my buyer tomorrow shows up, my birds will have paid for their own feed for the first time :)
