YO GEORGIANS! :)

some of these cost more then I am willing to pay, but they are some really cool chickens! I had never even heard of a crele orpington! https://www.purelypoultry.com/premium-orpington-chickens-p-1201.html All of these look awesome plus they lay good and get pretty heavy! Wow!

I love those chocolates. One of the chicks I got this summer was supposed to be a chocolate orpington but hse turned out to be an easter egger.

oops.

I managed to get a good bit done on my next run. Building it out of pallets, going to wrap it all in fencing, go over the top with fencing and cover part of it, maybe all of it and wrap in plastic until spring.

it'll be painted come spring when it's warm enough. Still have to get the fencing, build the gate, the nest boxes and a roost. It's 8' 6" x 20, and I will be able to divide it if I need to. I'm going to put the purebred AMs in here and let the barnyard mixes stay in the other one

wait what? 42???

no freaking way

Yes. Y'all knew that. Well, I was 41 when I met y'all but I turned 42 in November.

It seems like since I hit 35, my body is just falling apart. It seems to always be something! I just finished my bachelors degree in criminal justice last month. Who is gonna hire me all broke down. LOL

S_ _ t. I could tell things were a changin' at about 27. And not for the better. But when I was 32-35 I became a clean-eating, psycho-disciplined gym rat & lost close to 50 lbs. Never felt better. In 2012, my thyroid decided it needed a break I guess, & all downhill from there. LOL
I may not look 42 but sometimes I feel like a 70+ yo. If you ask my husband, he'd say I complain like one, anyway. Like a crotchety old granny. I'm sure my penchant for extreme clumsiness doesn't help. So there's that. I remember I used to tease my husband because he's 8 yrs older. He told me "wait til you turn 30. It's all down hill from there, babe." And I swear that was a curse. because it was true.
I often have that affect on women.

awwwww.

I don't think there's a cure for that.
I'd just like to take a moment to whine and commiserate with my fellow Georgians. It is too cold out!!! 10 degrees tonight!!! I am worried about my 6-7 week old turkey. Mom won't let him sleep under her --only snuggle up. Wondering if I should bring him in but then everyone would be upset.

I feel you. I hate hate hate the cold. My crap-*** thyroid makes it worse, plus one of my meds has a side effect of "may cause intolerance to cold temperatures." LOL Just to go outside for 5 minutes, I'm bundled up looking like a tick about to pop.

I'm impressed! That looks really good.

I relate about the thyroid. One of my childhood memories was me clinging to a huge gas heater and hugging it to get warm. Later "my spot" in the house was on the floor on the heat vent.

Hey!! That's the cabbage and onions. I couldn't help it.

Yikes. I'll shut my trap then. You are definitely a trooper. I'm a big whiny baby. For real. I guess it would be worse if I didn't have a sense of humor about it.
