YO GEORGIANS! :)

Thinks me it could be done. Would probably be a trial/error process balancing the heat, humidity and ventilation just right. But once accomplished you would have a heck of a bator with excellent viewing...!

I will be watching for pics of the progress...!
haven't gotten it yet, but I left my name and number for a call back to see if I can get a better price, the one pictured is 6' and they want $230. But man the drawers on the back!

I've been wondering the same thing ... brooder.

Just ask Scottie to order some.
yeah I was thinking more brooder than incubator since it's not insulated at all

@carcar, you know I'm only a few minutes from the feed stores here, I wouldn't mind picking up what you want and dropping it by since you live right next to our (which should be YOURS too) church.....

I haven't bought chick feed from Cedartown seed and feed, but I do know that Hollands only has medicated. They're closed now or I'd call and find out. Seriously, I can pick it up and drop it by on a sunday or wednesday for you, I wouldn't even charge much delivery fee, hahahaha

Or even if the same hatchery, they've decided to be better prepared?  Dunno.

I'll need to be making that drive a couple of times, I think.

Yeah, I might too :/ Actually NO, no I don't.

. Yeah, funny I drive toward your house for church, and you drive to mine. :gig I appreciate the offer! If I can find something comparable to Dumor's starter, I may do that. I just really like that starter. It's kinda pricy though.

Just watch out for any potential protesters.  Hahaha

Heh?

Is there a reason not to give the chicks medicated feeds? Just personal preference or does it actually hurt them?

Personal preference for me. I'm sure you'll find 1,000 different opinions, but I think medicated feed is best for a large-scale operation where the targeted illness(es) are more apt to take hold. Just my opinion.

That, and I don't like unnecessary medications.
