YO GEORGIANS! :)

This is how my friday went, 2 of my dogs decided to try and do something with a SKUNK, OMG, had to wait for the groomer to open at 10 am, I was able to wash one dog she is little a puppy, but my 110 pounder no way in a bath tub,he is good and likes his baths, but with no sprayer, I really need to get one, just have not gotten around to it yet. They smell so much better!!! They tried so hard to rub the smell off, poor babies, now maybe they will leave skunks alone. I did take the puppy and she got 2 baths today, the joys of country living

About 3 hours and 20 minutes lol I do ship though :) you can message me if you would like. Nice to get to talk to some fellow GA folks!

I have been know to drive for hours to get chickens etc.  Nice road trip for me and DH (darling husband)
well there is a really nice coop and some chickens for sale in Birmingham for $400.

I have 20 hens, 1 rooster and wanted to add a younger rooster to help keep fertile eggs. This is a 5 month old english buff orpington that I got from ericinga and this is his first night on the roost with the rest of the chickens. That is the flat side of a 2x4 he's standing on and grown hens around him. He is a huge youngster and still growing. I'll be out at daylight in the morning to see how it goes when the pop door opens.
I just finished a homemade incubator today and I'll post some pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested.

first breed I ever got, and have one now that's 4 years old. She the matriarch of the flock, and I love her!

a dog got at the flock while they were free ranging, and they scattered. Searched for hours, and they slowly started to come back towards dark. But it's seems like I'll have two mortalities, and my two favorite birds no less! My baby silkie and my pretty little D'uccle hen have been missing for two days now.

. Why is it always your favorites?

Has any one on here ordered from Mt Healthy in Ohio? Turner's feed in Douglasville is getting some Aracucanas from there. I was wanting to buy just a few. I know there are many possible issues with Aracuanas and I just want to know if their chicks will be as close to the original breed as possible. Or if they have have bread out many of the negative traits that Aracuanas can have to have a more productive egg layer or breeder. Just want to know what to expect before I commit to getting some. I also have Turner's chick schedule if anyone is interested. Or if someone wants me to pick some up for them. I live only 5 minutes away from them.

I'm from Ohio...and personally, I won't buy from Mt Healthy. That have a very recent history of samonella outbreaks in their hatchery. I like Ideal Poultry out of Texas & Meyer Hatchery out of Ohio.
