YO GEORGIANS! :)

Thanks for the turkey information. I was looking at Burbon Reds but it seems the broad breasted is winning out. I have to go get my booster shot today so when I go to the swap Saturday I won't have chicken fever. Dear Hubby deals with it and sort of embraces, but still shakes his head when he does a quick look each year in my brooder and swears my chick count multiplies like rabbits.

Blue Ridge. Where are you

I'm considered Dawsonville, but we are at the base of Amicalola Falls State Park, around the corner from Burt's Pumpkin Farm, and right smack between Ellijay, Dawsonville and Dahlonega! And, there are several folks from Blue Ridge on here!

What kind of chickens do you have?

:thumbsup
pretty boy, don't know maybe an EE  (easter egger)   ask flowerbh she will know

to our newbies, we are having a chicken swap/ sell shhh not supposed to sell, but if green gets traded for chicks under the table it's ok, at the tractor supply store in Mcdonough, Ga this saturday starts at 9 am to about 3pm lots of people and fun, come and  introduce yourself

Welcome to all our newbies  :welcome

Thanks for the help, ive always wanted EEs so let's hope! He is very pretty, and for coming from a flock of over 40 and never being handled, very very sweet. He gets along with my kids, the hens and all the ducks very well.

We probably live a max of ten minutes from each other! I live 10 minutes away from burts pumpkin farm, and 20 minutes from downtown dawsonville

Help? We were randomly given thus roo by a guy who didn't speak much english, can anyone tell me what breed he is? His tail has an irredescent green to it, feathers around his neck are more gold than the cream color it looks like here.
The guy told me "uhhh....chicken?"

I don't think he is an EE (carrying blue shell egg gene) mainly because most EEs have a pea comb. Yours has a single comb. He has the coloring of a Birchen Marans. Leg coloring looks wrong, but can't tell. Very Handsome!
