C can't/won't do a thing. I can't count the times I've called them over the years. They're useless in my book for things such as this- I mean, what're they gonna do.. Come call the dogs to them? Know what I mean? Enlighten me if I'm wrong.
 
And as much as I get angry, I'd sooner shoot the owners than the dogs. They're just being dogs, poor kids. Watching them jaunt around the waters edge without a care in the world.. Having a good old time, lol. Makes me almost feel bad for them.

Now that you mention that, we hardly ever see any roadkill dogs around here. Probably because the speed limits are all 35 and under. But as many as run around you'd think we'd see more.

i do understand, but at least if you call them, you have a report on record. They're supposed to deal with the owners who just let their dogs roam. I'm not advocating shooting someone's pet, BUT once that pet breaks through and into the pen after your chickens, that dog who's just doing what dogs do, is killing chickens he can catch, just to kill them. They don't kill for food, at least someone's pet won't, they kill just to kill.

I don't know which person is the worst. The one who chains a dog up in the backyard but feeds it every day, or the person who totally disrespects the neighborhood by letting their dog run loose and destroy every one else's property

I totally agree. And ok, true they can talk to them. I forget that part. When I go out today I'll drive a bit and see if I see them anywhere in the neighborhoods around. Maybe can get an idea of the area at least.

A/C here in Bartow told me they would pick them up, if I caught them.
Or to shoot to kill if they were after my livestock.
But if I wounded and didn't kill, I could be charged with animal cruelty and liable for vet bills.

I'm still hanging on to a donkey that showed up Monday. Today makes 5 business days, so guess if he's here at dark, he's mine. :)
