YO GEORGIANS! :)

Our ducks go out of the run every day and head to the lake.  Then, they come back and sleep with the chickens in the coop which is closed up every single night to keep them safe from  predators.  When we build our new coop, the ducks will have their own area just because they can be so 'wet'!  If you want some of these ducks my KC is sitting on, let me know.  Of course, that will be another 25 days from now!  Most my ducks are Indian Runner ducks....that means they won't fly away!

Yes! Yes! I'd love some and that would give me enough time to figure out a coop. I may have questions!

hatch update:

when I went to bed about 1:30 this morning, I had four eggs pipped. I was back up at 5, and there were two more, one of them was an AM egg yay! but I noticed that the temp had jumped to 102. No idea why, unless the activity of them starting to hatch raised it?

Anyway, the one that had pipped a hole in it's shell wasn't moving, I stood and watched it for 10 minutes and it didn't move. I took it out to be able to see it and hear it, and it was done. I think the excess heat. The controller was set on 100, so I bumped it down to 99, and now the thermometers are reading 100 on each level. I can't tell any of the first three that are left that pipped were doing anything, so I've taken each out and listened. I still have peeping and pecking noises in them so I put them back and leaving it alone. We'll see!

I have no idea what spiked the heat, and now I'm wondering if my thermometer is off a degree or two and that's why they started on day 19

Somebody mentioned bringing cheesecake. @katsdar mentioned neediing side dishes.
so who says dessert can't be called a side dish? I put em on the plate at the same time, or even better, another plate set to the side......

Anyone interested in a 5 week old Dominique Cockerel? I got him as my 'mystery exotic' from Mcmurray. I'm going to sell him on craigslist, but i figured I'd put him here first. I'm in Mableton (Cobb county)

PM if interested.
