Yep. And doesn't A LOT also mean possibly OUTNUMBERED? That's a lot of crazy chicken ladies all in one place at the same time. I heard a rumor, that crazy chicken ladies are far more unpredictable than crazy cat ladies are. You think there might be any truth to those stories @katsdar ? I wonder....

What a day!

I planned a trip to the Trion auction, just for fun.
I've been twice without giving in to temptation, and it's always best to see what goes through. Plus I have some extra roosters I can sell.

So I arranged to meet a friend, then things went downhill.

Had an egg customer who wanted eggs tonight. No problem, I packed them so hubby could meet him at the gate.

Bus route ran long, no problem. Hubby ran to gas up my truck while waiting for me.

Rolling down the driveway, CRUD! Water leak.
Back to the road to check meters and see who's it is.
Check the one with my house number and it's fine.
Then realize someone switched the lids. Yes, the massive puddle and stream is mine.

Step to turn off the water, and disturb a fire ant nest. About 20 bites on my foot before I have time to respond.
No water at the house to soak my foot.

Hubby starts digging while I figure I'm going to postpone my auction trip. Cancel with my friend, then realize I can't even water birds!!
Egg customer shows up "did you know you have a water leak?" Yes, thank you

So I go to town for parts while hubby keeps digging.

So if I'm a little grubby tomorrow, you know why!

Food lion on Martha Berry is run by a bunch of Communists I have all my party supplies except for one, The WATERMELON how can you not have watermelon, how un American is that.

Oh awesome! Which one do you have? Is it the CCL or the Orp? My guess is the orp! All of mine are sweet. Even Stanley when he's not being a D - bag. And Sophia is even sweet during her broodiness. She kept pestering me to pick her up every time I went into the bathroom today. Poor thing. I had no time for hugs today. I finally had to just put her back with the others and let her be for the night because I need the smaller crate to transport the birds tomorrow. I hear that flower is coming and she has more chickens for me.

Too many to borrow Lucille's cat carrier, now. And boy is she gonna be ticked off when she realizes I brought more chickens home.
