YO GEORGIANS! :)

See, y'all do 25 acres like my husband would try to. I want land like we had when I was little- 25 wooded AC- but he insists it'd be "work". My family didn't keep it up like that. Unless a tree fell near the house, it laid where it fell. And there were no roads through it, just trails where my horse and I wore the leaves out. The land was just for privacy. Keeping it up IS too much like work!

But I completely understand what you're saying.

We don't really do that much, just around the house and of course, have to maintain the .6 mile of driveway for the renters. But, we do have trails to walk and those sometimes get trees across them. We have a 4-wheel, 6 passenger mule that needs to go on those trails, too, so..... Whenever you decide to come and visit us, you will see, most of the place is wild.....just too much to do to keep proper 'landscaping'! But, the little area across the lake is where most people want to get married, so I have to maintain that area. That's where all my daylily beds are.

Oh, and the new coop. Most people think its going to be a new bunkhouse for renters! LOL

Bunkhouse.. :lau Now that's a coop!!

And that makes total sense. So nice to have the trails to drive on, I'm jelly!

A breeder in VA. I got some from her last Summer and my hen is black laced but her father was a blue laced. She has good lacing so I wanted more from her. I sent her pics of these 2 and she said the one in the pic shows signs of blue lacing. I got different eggs from a different mother for sure so actually hope its a rooster, which I would never usually say. Here is the hen from last summer.
Her markings and colors are gorgeous. Plus her shape and size. Oh my!

Just sharing my new horizontal nipple waterers.
We ran pipe down the long side of the big pen through 3 sections.
Added a 55 gallon drum outside the fence, with a hose to the pipe.
Hubby had it assembled and operational in an hour.

3 less buckets to carry or drag a hose to!

Anyone down south, Around Griffin would appreciate if anyone in that area for the same, like to take a vacation, but like someone reliable to tend my chickens.

Remember last week I said I wished I had a broody?
Now I have 4!

My black Ameraucana hen has a few eggs, my blue Maran has a couple from today and the comet and lavender Ameraucana are in a rabbit hutch for time out.

Be careful what you wish for!

One new baby today. Have 7 more ducks in various stages of development in my mini bator. I know one is pipping and another one has pipped internally. Who was it that wanted runner ducks?
