Day 21 on my eBay Cochin eggs.. One pip from the one and only SL that made it to lockdown.. Can't wait to see what they look like! I also have a few barred rock eggs in there; not sure if I'll sell them or keep to add another pullet or two to my layers.

Sold 10 d'Uccle chicks yesterday.. Only about 20 to go and I'll be DONE selling chicks for the season. I'm OUT! lol

I sold 16 chicks yesterday and the guy wants whatever I get from next Sat/Sun's hatch....but a lot of those are from the swap so I know I will be keeping some.

I had 2 more ducks hatch yesterday. There are 5 more eggs in the mini bator and a few under the broody duck. Hers could be hatching....haven't been out there yet today.

Carcar, you KNOW you aren't done yet! I've got one hatch due Sun, a full turner ready to go into my other bator and I am still suppose to get 30 CCL eggs from Rocky Rhodes!

Yes! I am done! My MFD have finally broken their broodiness, so once they start back laying I will go back to selling eggs only!

@Flowerbh The LA I got from Buddy it died a couple of days ago, no marks no nothing just dead, he was eating and acting normal and when I went out in the afternoon to check on my babies, I found him in the carport area next to the garage. He was such a beautiful bird. I was hoping to put him with the babies I had gotten from Papa, well they are big now. I really have no clue why it died, it was warm that day but I had lots of water out that I filled that morning, I fill my yard waters every morning so they had water and cool shade to get into, any ideas? All my other birds are fine

We had a rooster die of secondary poisoning once. We put poison under the house for mice and apparently one of the mice stumbled out and the rooster got it. We found it outside with holes pecked in it after the rooster died. The rooster died with symptoms of poisoning. It could have been bitten by a snake, ate something it shouldn't have. I mean, I don't know. I'm so sorry that it died. I will be hatching some more LAs, Do you want another rooster?

splinters, cuts, pokes, scratches, pinched up a couple of blood blisters..........yeah, bout par for the course. And I have just over 300 ft of nearly 800 ft of fence run, more to come!

speaking of the kids you got from me last sept, are most of them laying now? believe it or not, 8 months in and my splash am hen that hatched out at the same time still isn't laying

My two I kept (friend talked me out of em now I'm think friend? lol) but yep someone is giving me pretty eggs. I should be able to tell better when I get the new coop finished and a little more organized

Yes, please if you get two can I have 2 one for a back up,

I would like to put him with my girls and get real LA instead of mixes, Blueboy as I called him had no attitude with me he was a calm nice rooster and I could pick him up, Buddy said he had him eating out of his hand then he got an attitude.

I was given a show quality Araucana beautiful boy he has the numbered band on his leg, so I need to get some girls for him. He has a really nice temperament, I can pick him up, course he was shown and guess he got used to being handled

You can't really see the purple shimmer but he has it but you can see the green really well

So what do you all think? You can freely give your opinion, I didn't buy him,, but I still think he is beautiful, and you can see the band on his leg.

Looks like it could be a NPIP band but once he left the property he was tested on I think that is void if I am not mistaken.

I wouldn't think it would be valid. I'm not NPIP , I still like him, he's just a bird here no more glamour, well except in my eyes.
