YO GEORGIANS! :)

I had RIR with R on them.

I'm a little behind on hatching. My eggs are on day 15.
Tuesday we find out how the new incubator has done. So far so good.
Although not sure that eggs from elsewhere are a fair first test. Even when hand carried and set for 24 hours, they still may have more stress than eggs from here.
Now, I had to buy more cause I lost some to a respiratory issue. But I didn't get more til I had everything settled with the sickness.
I don't mind selling more, IF they have fixed the problem.
I wasn't talking about you dear, have you also bought chicks from carcar?

Huh? What does that mean? I'm lost.
Eric and I (and I think a few others too) were discussing selling chicks to people we've sold to before who seem to lose a lot of chicks. Katy thought I was talking about her and I wasn't

I was talking about our 'always late and totes her little dog with her' customer

Oh! Wait. I'm caught up now. For a second I thought we were saying my chicks have had respiratory issues, which gave me chest pains for a moment since this was the first I'd heard of it

Another duck hatched last night....up to 4 now. 5 more eggs in the mini bator. Mama duck hasn't hatched anything. I know there was one pipping two days ago under her but yesterday I went in there and looked and there is no sign of that egg or a baby. Lots of possibilities on what happened to it, so I don't give much hope for the only 2 eggs left under her. I am thinking of taking those 2 eggs and putting them in the bator and putting her out by the lake with the other ducks so she will give up this crazy brooding when she doesn't end up with anything!

I am really excited to go meet with Rocky Rhodes and his DW either tomorrow night or Friday night to have dinner with them. He is also bring me some CCL eggs to hatch!!!! Yea! Incubator is ready and waiting. I will also be putting in lots of my own LA eggs! Gosh, they are so small! That's one thing I don't like about the AMs.. they just don't have very big eggs!

My blacks (from CarCar) lay a nice sized egg. My lavenders lay tiny or odd shaped eggs.
I'm hoping by breeding with the black, then the offspring back to lavender, I can get bigger eggs next year.

No, your babies are great!
The respiratory was from the cold damp I think. Last November.

And I love these two blues from the chicks I got from you last fall. Amazing how different the colors are.
ahh, I wasn't aware that you had bought some from them. And yeah, some of my blues are like that, real blue looking, or almost black but laced really nice.

The Lav egg under broody mama is coming along nicely BTW
