YO GEORGIANS! :)

I took their box away as soon as the last hatcher could walk without falling, the first has been out of the egg for 2 days. At this age they don't really seem to really eat as much as peck at things that are interesting, or at least that's how it seems to me.

And this little baby has been running around in and out from under Sophia right into the food and then back under mama. This whole time I been thinkin "boy, that little thing sure is hungry!"

It ain't even 2 days old. What was I thinking? And apparently, mama's waddles and eyelid must be awfully interesting. It keeps yanking her bottom eyelid.

The can wait for 2 days after hatching, due to the fact that they absorb the yolk sac.  but I put food in with them so moma can show them when she's ready, or after all have hatched and up and running good is when I put food in for them when I'm the moma and don't forget to dip their beaks just the tip in the water you don't want to get it into their nostrils, and do the same for the food
ok I had a single oegb hatch today so I'm playing daddy

@flowerbh Vesper finally laid her bue egg! Been waiting a whole year for a blue egg! I tried ro upload a picture, not that anyone here hasn't seen one before, but my signal is crap today and it wouldn't upload! So exciting.

I killed a skunk early this morning, the smell woke us up it sprayed for some unknown reason, it was a young one and then sent it to it's maker, wow that darn thing has stunk up the house, yard, trash can, oh man those are bad news. I still feel sick, smell seems to be dissipating from inside the house, course burning candles, spraying every thing I can, still wow, haven't had one that close to the house before, glad trash day is tomorrow.

there's just something about these, I have a splash AM that hatched last september that still isn't laying. I asked her last night reckon how she's gonna taste when I put her on the smoker.....she just gave me that blank stare, then blinked both eyes at the same time, and turned her head like she wasn't even acknowledging I was standing there......

in other words, typical female response

This is strangely hilarious to me, that I would sign on to see this post this morning. Late last night, I was literally online looking at a website about keeping skunks as a pet. Not kidding. I was disappointed to discover that, although legal in GA, the only color skunk they do not allow people to keep is the black and white. You can have any other colored skunks but that. Unfortunately, those are much more difficult to come by, as the most prolific colors in the skunk world, is the black and white! This post gave me a little chuckle. Oh well. no skunks for me. I would say next time you see one, catch it, but pet skunks have been "de-stunk", wild ones, not so much.

If I had a nickle for every time I've been on the receiving end of that response from a dude, I could've retired to a private island years ago. A stem on one's apple does not make one immune to such behavior, it brings to mind the phrase "it takes one to know one..."

A pot and a kettle are both the same shade of black.

edited to add: admittedly, there is truth to that statement. And I do very much resemble that remark. I have mastered that skill quite well. If it was an Olympic sport, I would be a record holding gold medal winner who may qualify for the Guinness Book of World Records. hehe.
