I HAVE GOT TO SELL SOME ROOSTERS! Only sold about 5 this weekend. Need to sell about 20 more.

Here are the breeds I have left:

Below are the ones I have (pic taken a little over a week ago.) The one with copper neck is already starting to crow. Never had a rooster crow that young.

on another note, I know we have a couple in our little group who do the local farmers markets and I'd like to know what you pay to participate, I've checked into the one in Rockmart, and personally think they're ridiculous at what they're asking for a weekly fee to set up a table in a very lightly used parking lot that's owned by the city, tied in with all their 'rules'......maybe now I can see why they don't have real good participation

I do the Farmers Market in Dahlonega. We either pay $15 a MONTH or $70 for May thru October. We only need our Candlers license and poultry license as I am allowed to sell chicks, too!. We do not have to take food stamps, etc. We also have Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. I usually sell out in an hour or two!

Papa I work the Acworth market on fri morning we do not have a fee acworth covers it because they promote buying local , they do want to be able to come to the persons house or farm at any time . They made a trip the first year to make sure you were growing your own . Other then that they would come if they received a complant .

I get so irritated that Rockmart's is on Thursday..?? If it were a weekend day that would help a lot too.

I actually really enjoy shopping at this one but the biggest issue for me is the mandatory set-up time. During most of the market's season I can't get there in time because of school.
