ISA Browns, they are from a very strict patented six layer parent stockWhat breed are these awesome eggs coming from????
ISA Browns, they are from a very strict patented six layer parent stock
According to the person we got them from they only have a 6 parent linage so they will lay regularly and large brown eggs and they are ordered from https://townlinehatchery.com/product/isa-browns/Feather me stupid...but I had no clue there was a chicken pedigree. Gotta ask, what's the difference between the ISA Browns and yours? Or, what is a six layer parent stock?? Is it a cross that will breed true?
Wow!! Sounds like you really wanted some ISA Browns...interesting. I had no clue breeding went further than burebred, attempts at new breeds and just plain crosses. On another note...i'm really debating on if and what breed of hen/pullet to get for my Betty (my injured, independent, stuborn Black Star) to build a team with so #1 she doesn't need the attention of those pecking at her and #2 she can be in charge again (and, maybe, we get more eggs through molting). I keep thinking one or two more Black Stars but i'm worried they'll pick on her. Then, I think Buff Orpington or a more docile breed that she can rule and not be pecked on. I'm at a loss debating amongst myself. She has and can teach other birds to be independent...i'm just not sure which would be best to allow her to heal completely and give her a social network to reintroduce to the main flock once she's finally healed. ANY suggestions, tips, etc?According to the person we got them from they only have a 6 parent linage so they will lay regularly and large brown eggs and they are ordered from https://townlinehatchery.com/product/isa-browns/
Zeeland MI. "Iv'e been told and read that they are the only "authorized licensed distributor" in the US for the ISA browns".
Other places and people will try to lure you in saying "their birds" are the same...they may look the same but they are not
Statements per the seller, but these birds are just WOW. and no they will not breed true from what I'm told.
Get some girls a little younger than her so she can be top bird, BO's are a nice gentle breed, ISA Browns, lol, Brahama's she will have to reestablish herself into her flock if you reintroduce her, I'd put her in a pen so they can see each other for a few days then let her in with the other birds, put her in at night so they wake up together anyway JMOWow!!
