YO GEORGIANS! :)

My husband likes Perrier. It has a more bitter taste to me. I like the Deer Park because it's not as bitter, it's a little more smooth and they have a lot of flavors. They have watermelon lime which is sometimes hard to find. I've found it at one of the Harveys in town. Walmart carries the raspberry lime in a 6 pack. Everybody has the lemon and orange. We went about a year drinking water and unsweetened tea and coffee with no sugar before I started buying the sparkling water. Maybe it was easier for us to switch to it because we had been off of sugar for so long and our tastes have changed.

TSC Livestock Exchange Report

I brought 4 of my month old cockerels to the TSC exchange. Besides a couple selling mealworms - I was the only one there. Sounds like it tails off this time of the year. I left around 9:30 so its possible folks showed up after I left. The TSC guys said they were going to try for 1 more before wrapping up for the winter.

On a good note - I did sell my 4 cockerels to the TSC guys and my girls (9 and 12) got to tool around the TSC store (which they love) - so successful morning for me.

Thanks for sharing the report ... and really happy that you were able to sell your cockerels.

Today DH and I added more playground area for the chickens! Almost doubled their large yard. The chickens really liked the new 'virgin' playground. Bugs and grubs and all sorts of yummies! In the pics, you can see the difference between the new area and the old. The old has no leaves, just bare dirt!

Oh, BTW, I got 7 eggs yesterday! Yea! Diet must be working!

We have a new addition to our family , a boxer twenty months old she has such a sweet personality. I am not sure how she is going to do with the chickens my other dog is great with them I never did anything special with her other then letting her be with me when caring for them from the time they were chicks . Any ideas would be appreciated to bring Daisy in to the flock .

I find the older dogs will teach the younger ones, just bring them both out and you may have to scold the new baby but she will soon learn. Maybe start her meet and greet on a leash. Or pick one up and let her get a good smell, usually they want to smell but the chickens run and then the dogs think they are playing, let us know how things go.

ok, I know this is the chicken page but I need to share my latest project, it turned out really nice better than I thought it would so when I'm not playing with chickens I'm quilting. This is the start to my 3D quilt.
