So, look at this cutie pie! Crested Blue egg layer Naked Neck!



/these two chicks have the same mom and dad. They have the same coloring. Just one inherited the NN gene and one didn't. Front one is boy, NN is still undecided.
 
Has it really been a month since i last checked BYC?! Lots going on. I've developed a want for pigs, need for more chickens and Betty is totally back in the coop with everyone (meaning i don't have to carry her from the front porch to the coop in back yard anymore). She still looks like Elvis with her scar but she's past molting and otherwise getting to a healthy weight. She might be 5lbs now. Not plump but integrating well. Anyone want to swap any standard hen about a year old for a RIR X Welsummer? She's still laying about every other day through the cold but she's driving Betty crazy.

Our new addition is beyond adorable. He has so much personality! (NOT a meat pig)
