I have posted it before but just like here at home I get ignored..... www.municode.com Go to the library and pick your jurisdiction. I recommend reading them. When it comes to animals, some people tell you how they feel, not what the law says. Some counties do have strict laws but no one to enforce them until there's a complaint. This leads to people doing things for years without a problem but then when something happens they're surprised when they find out there's a law against it. Some metro counties are just now opening up to allowing some hens but still no roosters unless you have a certain sized piece of land. And about that "can't shoot a dog to protect livestock unless posted".... I would DEFINITELY be looking to see that in writing. It certainly is not state law but I can't speak to local ordinances. But many people think that one can't be charged with trespass unless the property is posted and that simply is not true so I have my doubts about protecting livestock without posted signs.
