Am excited for you!!! Also, the babies are moving all over under her. Just like Robo said, she is ill adjust for the babies! Soon you will see them peeping out from under her. Then they will be just MRI g all over her!
Oh how Cute!!!!! she is hatching out some Easter Eggers Bantams for me and i am excited to say after going back out about 15 mins ago i saw my first little chick!!! so cute!
I do have a concern about ants!!!!! I am nervous about them harming the chicks. I used a VERY small amount of peppermint oil under the shavings around the nest box and a small amount in the neighboring nesting box to help repel them. They are just little black ants but any tips and ideas to help ward them off would be awesome!

Insecticide question. I bought some of that stuff Demon something, safe for chickens, but I have ants in the coop and run. I was going to spray the coop this morning so it can dry, then tonight after they go to roost, spray the run...do y'all think that would be a good idea?

Yesterday I was doing some woodworking, and I noticed my young son playing around with the wood scraps. He has chicken on the brain like his parents. This is what he created:

So cool put it together for him, sand it and stain it and put it on a stand, then surprise him with it.
