YO GEORGIANS! :)

We named our chickens a few days ago. Falco, Chocobo, Chozo, and Kazooie. Falco is my least favorite...she urks me (that's the one that is a pain to catch)! Kazooie is my favorite because she coo's and always follows me. Chocobo is the funniest/trouble maker. She likes to randomly peak butts, it's funny. Chozo is just a gal of her own. She's also pretty smart and perplexed by the other chickens activity most of the time.

Sounds like you're enjoying the girls. They sure have their own personalities.

Spring is slower to get to the mountains than lower elevations, but here are a few pics for you from our place. Garden is planted. Doing less and giving the plants more room this year.

This cherry tree is funny. The left is a graft my husband added years ago. It has already had the blooms and leafed out while the right side is just blooming.

Beyond the perimeter fence is our pasture lot. Still need to fence that one. It's about 1.4 ac.

The part we call the meadow. Lots of deer here almost every night. Sometimes, a fox, coyote (or roaming dog, grrrrr). When we bought this place, this was all dense woods and we had only a seasonal mountain view. Now, we have a year-round view and see the skies a lot better, can see storms coming sooner.

The dogwood in the barn pen.

Debating on cutting this white pine. I don't mind white pines, it's the other ones I don't like. DH doesn't like pines at all.

My Therese Bugnet shrub rose. Most tea roses do not grow well here, but the shrub rose does okay.

Wild violets. love those.

This is not bloomed yet this year, but this was my Minnehaha climbing rose a couple years ago. I have to cut it back some every other year or so.
