YO GEORGIANS! :)

Ok, I have this chick with a bump on the head, Silky? I have a silky and if so this would be my first Silky chick, do Silky chicks have like a fatty bump on their heads?

Some silkies are born with a vaulted skull. You can google it. But, does it have black skin? 5 toes? Do you have any birds with crests? Some of my chicks who are crested will have a tuff on top.

The chick walks like a silky, I could really tell this morning, only 4 toes, white skin, yes to other birds with crests, but not ones that lay little brown eggs, oh but remember my chicks will be mutts, so who's the daddy, the dad is one of two cochins.

Hi, my name is Liv and I'm addicted to hatching. Setting golden laced & white crested blue polish in the morning. Time to fire up the bator!! #howmanybiddiesistoomanybiddies #askingforafriend

Opossums, are they are predator for my flying friends or will they leave them alone and eat other bad things???

I saw one this morning (first time on the farm) and he kinda scared off back towards the trees and the field but i assume he was headed back to the woods and coming down the driveway i blocked his path... I'd hate to have to kill him if i saw him again but if he goes after my babies that's not allowed

I am having the hardest time finding chicks :/ I am looking for BLR Wyandottes, Orpingtons (not buff), Light Brahmas, and Silver Laced Polish. I am thinking I may need to build an incubator and try to find hatching eggs.....

Emily, animals that are primarily nocturnal can be seen in the daytime without them being sick. It's funny... we hunt some nocturnal animals during the day and when they're seen they are not suspected of being rabid like other animals. Other than killing your chickens, possums pose no real threat. The likelihood of them even getting rabies is slim. I have picked up a lot of them by the tail and carried them off to release them.
