Need some feedback...i was told today that reckons don't normally kill chickens, that they are mainly scavengers. And that what killed my Ginny back in Feb was more than likely a weasel ...the animal only took her head. If a weasel, what to use to try and trap it???

Ripping a chicken's head off is exactly what a raccoon will do through chain-link or 2 x 4 welded wire fencing. That's why you need secondary wire behind it, such as 1/2" hardware cloth or poultry wire.

Anywhere there is traffic will work. If you know where it last got to your chickens, fix the spot and put the trap there. If they haven't attacked them yet, put it where you've seen signs of them
