From my limited experience, you would either get a chocolate or a fawn and white duck....they don't seem to mix colors. Those ducks father was a fawn and white. The mom of the chocolate was a chocolate and the mom of the fawn and white was a fawn and white. The father of my Khaki Campbells is the fawn and white runner duck and all three babies are fawn and white and walk like their dad! It's weird.

I'm wowed at all of the activity since we went out of town on Wed. the 12th. It has taken quite a while to get caught up on reading all the posts. Sounds like y'all had another great picnic and overcame some of the disappointment of the PPA event cancallation. I fixed 80% of my water issues by digging a shallow diversion ditch but still have some work to do because of the extreme rainfall intensity we have been getting this summer.

Whether they are of coops, chicks, adult birds or even surgical procedures, cooked birds or emu eggs, I really appreciate it when y'all take the time and effort to post pictures. They really pump up the content of your posts. Thanks!

Lost a duck today. Best I can figure is a copperhead must have bitten her leg. She was fine this morning, came limping up, saw she had a swollen bad place on her leg and within minutes she was dead. So sad.
