YO GEORGIANS! :)

Watched my first episode of Coop Dreams this morning. I don't think it is a very popular show here in Augusta but can see why us BYC ers would like it. Out of the people I know here in Augusta who have chickens they don't have much interest in there chickens health insues. Most are Islanders and they keep them cooped in small places and use them for eggs and meet. The health and wellbeing of there flocks aren't that important. Anyway I liked the show and will watch it when I can.

My back is bothering me a lot today gonna try to take it easy. Exterminator are.going to my mom's.house today to treat for bed bugs. So expensive. Several of us are chipping in to pay for it. We've spent the last week cleaning as much as we could and sprayed and fogged but she still had them. Hopefully the exterminator will take care of the rest.

@sue25 Sorry you had to resort to an expensive exterminator.

We've never had to deal with bedbugs, but they seem like awful little creatures. It's nice that you all are chipping in to help out your mom. Kudos for that!

One biodegradable product that we use for fly knockdown is Tempo Ultra WP, made by Bayer. Many exterminators use this product inside the home to kill bedbugs. It's safe to use around poultry and pets, except for fish. Here's a PDF of the label in case you want to read up on it:

Thanks I read the PDF I may try to use it.around.the coops for.fly control. The fly's are just terrible this year. It may be because it has been so damp with all the rain.

Well I've spent the last 2 days killing myself and my helper, taking down my cousin's poultry pens, tin, 2x4's 4x4's, hog wire, chicken wire, you name it. I got 2 16ft trailer loads worth...I'm exausted. We had to take it all down, piece by piece...3 pens, I'll post a photo of one side...

Holy cow, that's a lot! My father and mother can't even make two fences for the chicken pen!

I applaud you! Get some rest, you deserve it.
