I don’t have room for them in that coop as they grow. I also have people wanting them as they get older. The last one I left with the mama because she was the only one.

Yes! I have 11 out now and the last 2 are pipping! Plus, I hear peeping under one of the 4 broodies outside! I think I may have a couple purebred Legbars, too, but I won't be able to take a closer look until those last two hatch! And, I won't know if they are going to be frizzles until day 4 or 5. Did you want some? :p;)

I also lower or raise my heat lamp according to the way the chicks either huddle or move away from the heat. Just be careful if you are thinking to use one of those red heat lamps! They are NOT designed for small brooder boxes. They will totally kill your babies with heat! I just use a small 60 watt light bulb.

These 6 chicks all hatched under Luna, my EE broody. We are moving them to a private crate in the garage for the time being.

I am interested in a couple of your frizzle colored egg layers. I only want pullets at the moment though. I still have more roos than I need and don't know how many more are coming up. If you have any after there old enough to sex I would be interested. Right now we're still working on getting a vehicle.
