YO GEORGIANS! :)

I just set 22 eggs myself. 18 from Speckledhen's beautiful blue partridge brahmas and 4 from my own hens. I lost my cockerel (also from Speckledhen) just about 2 weeks ago. As I was putting the other eggs in the incubator, I decided to put some I've collected from his girls even if they haven't been kept cool, etc. I know they were fertile, it's just a long shot with poor storage. It was good to see Cynthia again when I picked up the eggs.

Those are the best birds! If you get lots of roosters, let me know. I have had lots of people ask me for Brahma roos because they are so beautiful, but most importantly, they are so sweet! How is Speckedhen doing? Tell her to come back to the thread....we miss her! Sorry about your roo......I hate when any of my babies die! Good luck with your hatch!

I.really miss our Bastian too. His 4-beat crow really brightened our day. I could imagine him saying all sorts of things with that crow...""Time to wake up." "Oh, happy day!" "Noontime's a-here!" "Mama's come home!"

But, yes. When it comes to homing cockerels, I will let you know. I really don't need that many hens either. I just want to try hatching again, and I am hoping for better results this year.

Welcome to the GA thread, Crochet Chick! Ooh, a gosling on the way, GAMarans. I would love to add a few geese to my feathered friends, but I think I'd be biting off more than I could chew.
I love our geese. Pilgrim Geese ... so calm the vast majority of the time. Even when they are being protective during mating/laying season they are all show.

Hey,

This looks like an old thread. But hopefully y'all are still out there. I'm in Duluth, GA. Anyone nearby?
Welcome! I'm in Dawsonville near Amicalola Falls State Park. My son lives in Roswell, so we drive near you every now and then. What kind of chickens do you have?
