YO GEORGIANS! :)

Welcome everyone, I am here in South Georgia and we had a 3-day ice freeze and no power, we have a generator, but when hubby went to crank it well, it had sit up for 2 yrs, and time he serviced it himself, well 15 minutes running the power came on, (LAUGHING), I had 3-incubators going with turkey, duck, chicken, and geese eggs, I awoke this morning, and lord to behold 4 ducks were hatched, with the turner still going, because I figured them off 3-days well first really didn't think they would hatch, then if they did I said to myself, Self give them those 3 extra days, but I am amazed, just truley amazed, god is good, he has blessed me and my critters for a while, but I did loose almost 20 biddies, they just couldn't keep up with that freeze, I was just devastated, lost my frizzles white and black, lost my white silkies, and several others of the rare feathered bantams, and a pile of Black Australorp, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, just cried, that was all I could do, but let it hit again, I am ready with our generator now. Again, welcome to all the new georgian's, and stay warm.

If anyone comes to Newnan show, we are close by (well about an hour away)

Have a blessed and happy day! Nancy

(Oh and at the tail end of the storm, farm website went down and we had to start another mirror one...I'm not a computer guru. It was a nightmare....Anyway here's our newsite, I'm still trying to mirror this one in case this one disappears! I don't like hackers! Apparently there was widespread hacking on at least 50,000....

Is there a website that list various chicken shows for Georgia? (maybe tossing in North Carolina and Tennessee, since we live on the state lines)
I'd love to go and just "look", if some were close.
