Nice to see all the activity since the last visit. My husband and I have a small farm in Bowdon and raise all kinds of animals and especially my beloved poultry ....chickens, ducks, guineas, turkeys, geese - roughly 500 of them... We are being blessed right now with many hatching eggs but our ducks are the heaviest producers.
If you want to get a headstart on the ducks, do look at our duck eggs Please! so cute and tremendous layers.
Our current list of poultry is:
Lavendar Orpingtons
Speckled Sussex
Wheaten Marans
Blue Black Splash Orpingtons
Heritage Delawares
Heritage RhodeIslandReds
BBS Marans (current pen producing Blue Copper and Splash Marans)
Black Copper Marans
White Leghorns
Barred Rocks
Very Small group of Welsummers (more upcoming pullets -if you want a large group - probably late season)
Easter eggers
Split Black/Lavendar Orpingtons
I'm looking forward to next week's warm up. So I can ship our hatching eggs from this week and water much more easily! We tote over 300 gallons of water daily during this cold spell we've had. We have our eggs on the BST section a great deal on auctions. Feel free to bid there. I hope to have 2011 purchase prices available very soon as well.
Pekin ducks (laying)
Guineas (not yet laying)
Turkeys - many kinds - not yet laying
Later in the Season - Coronation Sussex
Pumpkin Hulseys
Silkies
