Good Morning Georgia! Any body need some guinea keets? Boy, do I have a batch hatching out! My last hatch of the season and there are already about 40 out of 72 hatched. It is always like Christmas all over again--of course then I have to start feeding them!!!!

I do love my guineas though! And they do keep down the tick population here. They may be keeping down the snakes but we have killed 4 copperheads this season already, including one that bit my little wiener dog this past weekend. One of the male guineas did sport a big swollen neck for about a week, which is a sign he was trying to do his job--he just got a little too close!!!

Anyone else following the Paula Deen thread on BYCF? Might interest those in the Savannah area. She had adopted a bunch of chickens and is now being told she can not keep them all. Interesting thread as what I had heard on the news was a little different than what is coming out here. Anyway, just interesting if you are a chicken person.

Wezl, how did i miss your in temple.. your Almost my neighbor.. I live in bremen, not far from Temple off hwy 78!.. you should come visit the chicks!!!! do you sell hatching eggs too? or know how to do a incubator!!..

lol Well Chicks will be 2 weeks told tomarrow.. and our runt on Monday! hubby commented today that "the chicks sure get big fast" lol. I said yup.. cause around 16 weeks they can lay eggs.

Well Time to Wrangle Kids. Serriously if you wanna stop by and visit I'd love to meet ya and talk chicken. Nice to see someone in my town. on BYC

Hi from Ga. Bargain if you have a snake problem you might try some goats on your farm they seem to have the nack for driving them away. We used to have rattlesnakes and about 4 years ago started running goats and sheep now no more snakes.

wava1vaughn I had to crack up! While I was reading your post to Nancy about goats, I'm nomming down on a bowl of Cheerios fruit and some of Nancy's deeelicious goats milk, LOL! Of course, I just had to make the kittens share. It's too good to let them have it all *wink wink*

Ann from Bremen (I have another local friend named Ann), I'd like to get together sometime soon. It's just a crazy week, especially the next couple days, I probably won't be on much. There's an awesome farmers market Sat morning in Carrollton, check with Nancy (bargain) or someone else local to get ya the info... I'm totally zonked right now

That would be a great time to get together. esp if it's during the day.. when kids are in school. Much calmer here at my "funny farm" will just be my husband and I home Till kids get in.

when school starts he dose not go out to work so early.. he has to waite for school to be let out.. Can't sell ice cream when there is no kids home in the neiborhoods lol.

Saturdays are Hectic for me.. Hubby leaves before 10 to head to Cedartown to work. and I'm left alone with 4 of the 5 kids. so Not sure I can get out.. esp with how wild they been lately.
think their having cabin feaver or just sick of mom and want to go back to school and their friends.

but it will be cool to have you visit.. and see the Chicklets and momma.
