I liked the FRM laying crumbles but never tried the gamecock feed. Usually, FRM is a pretty good feed. I've used their horse feed, too. Nobody around here carries that brand anymore though. Mid-South Feeds (out of Alma) has really good gamecock feed (Showtime) which I used to feed before the nearest chicken store closed. I can't get that anymore either.

Now I use Faithway Feeds Knock-Out game feed and do like it. I don't think I've ever used their laying crumbles; I'm using Purina now.

I used to use faithway on the farm and then found it made the chickens sick, had it analyzed and the salt content was off the charts. Use Purina now and no problems with that ...Also feed grains and scraps from our chemical free garden~!
 
I have been giving mine the Purina Layer crumbles and sometimes scratch corn/grain. Is the oyster shell something I need to constantly put out or just a couple of days a week?
