Yogurt, how to feed?

Be sure the yogurt is not the diet kind. Artificial sweeteners are bad.

I like to soak whole grains (scratch) in the yogurt overnight.
It doesn't matter what container I feed it in - that stuff disappears.

What is best way to feed chickens yogurt? In a bowl the don't seem to get it all?

If they're hesitant to try it from a bowl, just sprinkle some of their regular feed on top of it. They'll peck the feed and taste the yogurt. I had to do this my first time feeding yogurt; now they're crazy about it and I just drop a bowl of it in the cage and they attack it plain.

Her poo doesn't look like any of that. It's just a brown puddle.

She acts fine, eating, drinking and running around the brooder with the other 3. She's just 4 days old. She, and the Black Australorp, had a bit of a pasty but but it's been cleaned and a dab of olive oil added with a q-tip. I also added a little apple cider vinegar to their water.

Knox Yogurt Blocks
4 pkgs knox unflavored gelatin dissolved in 1/4 cup cool water
1/4 cup boiling water
Add dissolved gelatin to boiling water and stir, stir, stir. If you put the knox straight into the boiling water without the cool water you'll end up with gooey clumps that won't want to disperse. Be sure to add the knox to the cool water first and add that slowly to the boiling water.
When its cooled down so that you can dip your finger into it comfortably add 1 cup of yogurt or thereabouts. I just guess anymore. Stir, stir stir or whisk gently.
It takes longer to set up in the fridge than some people expect. I leave it overnight in a brownie tray. I don't cover mine.
The next day just cut it into cubes or shapes, toss them into ziploc baggies and put them in the snack drawer.
We only ever have Nancy's plain yogurt. I imagine any kind of yogurt will work.
I haven't tried feeding them to the chickens yet but I'm about to. Thanks!
