Today, I saw a small yoke in my chicken's stool. Is this normal? My chickens are only about 6.5 months old and are just begining to lay. The stool was a cream color and there was no shell in the stool that I could see.

Chickens make different kinds of poo at different times. The range of "normal" in chicken poo is enormous. Here is a great blog post that illustrates many of the different kinds of poo: http://chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?topic=17568.0

I doubt it was an egg yolk in the poo, and I'm sure it's perfectly normal.
