Yoke with no eggshell?!

I have a runner who consistently lays shelless eggs, she’s happy and healthy, has access to all the calcium she wants, I’ve done regimens of liquid calcium to no avail, I have personally witnessed the passing of the ”egg” so I know it’s not been eaten. I think the key here is that hers are truly shelless not soft shelled and are tearing inside. If you aren’t offering calcium You should do so, a good all flock will have all they need (except calciu) without mixing any concoction.

I can't imagine their shell being much harder!! They are a booger to crack open compared to chicken eggs. I wonder if they eat snails in their shells from the pond... there is an abundance for them. Their yoke is dark, more orange than yellow, and they taste amazing. The yoke and white can be difficult to blend for scrambled eggs... is that normal?
Sounds like they are healthy Pekins. I've not had a problem blending my ducks eggs but I don't have Pekins so can't comment on if this is a trait of theirs. I know my Muscovy eggs I just about have to take a hammer to crack open. Haven't had that problem with my Runners or Buffs. If the can get their bills around a snail they probably eat them.

Liquid Calcium, I am guessing Calcium Gluconate? ..........Does best when given oral. 1ml/5lbs of bird body weight. There is YouTube videos on this forum showing how to do it correctly.

If she is passing shell less eggs and one breaks in her reproductive tract, then you have an other set of problems on your hand if she gets a UTI.

Shell less eggs are not good and need to be addressed asap before you lose your hen from an infection. best of luck.

Sweet Feed Grain is a mixture of grains coated in molasses. The type of grains depends on the mill, but the base mixture is always grains + molasses. Any sweet feed I've seen smells like straight molasses, is somewhat tacky and they often coat the grains very well in it (I tried a piece before when I was a kid and I tasted nothing, but molasses). Does molasses have some nutrients? Yes, but the problem is molasses is VERY high in sugar. What's the problem with sugar? Since molasses isn't a common ingredient in US poultry feeds there haven't been too many studies done on the subject, but it has been proven in human studies that high amounts sugar consumption is associated with a decrease vitamin D which in turn greatly decreases the bodies ability to absorb calcium. Ducks require calcium to produce egg shells and you're most likely seeing the result of a high sugar diet. Not to mention adding corn + sweet feed (carbs +carbs + sugar) is not only taking away from valuable nutrients in your ducks complete poultry feed it is a recipe for fatty liver disease.

Oh believe me, i have tried, did a 4 week regimen of calcium gluconate orally. No change. I would love to fix her, but shes not taking any fixing. I couldn’t begin to tell you her history because she was a couple years old when we got her.

Oh wow, I would have never guessed she didn't get any better after all that Calcium. :( I wasn't sure if you were giving orally or not? Did Doc Isaac 0 have any input as to why she is doing this, just curious if you asked him or not?

Yes

yes, basically keep up with calcium. I have asked about ot a few times, folks always say its a soft shell and the others are eating it etc etc. I occasionally find a soft shell in the pool or water bucket , but not regularly and i don’t know which of the 9 is doing it. For a while in the summer it seemed like most days i was finding a shelless egg by the water. Figured it was one of my new harlequins, but then I watched Luna, one of my runners do it.
