Yolk Color Changes

We are harvesting muscadines (I'm a bit late to the game, but better late than never!) And it turns out my chickens LOVE them! They follow me around and grab the fallen ones and any bad ones I toss them. They've eaten so many, I joked to my husband we were going to have purple yolks soon!

And that got me wondering if anyone has seen certain foods change the color of your yolks? Make them brighter or more yellow or duller or more orange? Any purple yolks out there? Haha!

Plants such as marigolds, alfalfa, dandelion greens and basil all can change yolk color to a dark, vibrant orange.
