Yolk Eater

I have a bird that will poke a hole in the egg to get to the yolk. She wants nothing to do with the shell but never any yolk left behind. What is she missing in her diet. I hope its only 1 bird. I get 1 to 3 eggs aday like this........help please.

There isn't necessarily anything missing in her diet. She has just discovered that eggs are yummy and will continue to do this. Once they start egg-eating, its hard to get them to stop and worse, they may teach other birds in the flock to do the same. One solution is a roll out nest (if you do a forum search for rollout nests, you'll find plenty of info). The other option is to cull the offender from your flock.
