Hi everyone, first time posting here and still very new at keeping chickens!
2 weeks ago one of my girls had sour crop and with some help and advice from the internet, managed to cure it and she was back to her normal self within a few days. She’s eating and drinking fine and seems completely happy. She’s a bit thinner than the others still and noticeably a bit lighter but does seem to be putting on weight again gradually. However the thing I’m most concerned about is that I keep finding small amounts of yolk in the coop of a morning, and she’s not yet gone back to egg laying. Not at all bothered about the eggs, but it would just be a good sign that she’s back to her usual self again. Is the yolk something to be concerned about or is this a sign that she may be getting ready to lay again? She’s only about 30 weeks old or so, so still young. Many thanks in advance!
