I don't know anything about incubation or hatching prior to this, so bear with me. We made a DIY incubator for our eggs as our hens were not interested in hatching eggs. We kept in it 41 eggs and it's 21st day, we got around 13 healthy chicks. One of them died in the night, as it jumped into the water bowl kept inside the incubator. One of them has some sort of red gooey thing hanging from its back. I searched and came to know that it may be unabsorbed yolk. The red blob dried out and got detached but there's this yellow yolk leaking out and stopped. What should I do? What should I do about the rest of the eggs? What should I feed it, will it survive?

Sorry no one responded to this post. I would agree it appears as if the yolk sac may have ruptured, but I don't see any innards. I've not experienced this myself. How is your chick doing?
The little thing fought for three days but it didn't't survive.
