Most of us don't candle until Day 7. Then you'll see a blob which is the chick forming and some veins.Aw ok I’ve not had any veins or anything from my quail egg
I also didn’t let them set I put them straight in the incubator, as some people say makes no difference. Most of us don't candle until Day 7. Then you'll see a blob which is the chick forming and some veins.

Thank you I’m new to this, yeah I was reading up that makes no difference, I hope they will be ok as they not cheap to buy ah , I wanna be a silkie mumOh, these are shipped eggs?
I usually let them sit. I have a few incubators, so next time I order hatching eggs, I may split the batch and test it.
Letting their air cells settle down seems more important to me than them aging 12/24 hours, but it's probably a horse apiece.
